Paper Garland

Paper Garland

Here is another one of those cheap but great decorations because it goes a long way. Once again using the supplies that i bought the other day for $14.00 although I must be honest that yesterday I spent another $10.00 so we will just say that my total I have spent on christmas decorations so far is $25.00 and really I probably could have gone with out the 4 puffy paint colors and kept my price down, However I had a few extra dollars that they looked nice. Anyway Back to the Paper Garland.

  • 15-20 sheets of your choice colored construction paper
  • scissors
  • clear tape or stapler
  • ruler

  1. Use your ruler and measure between 1 in and 1 1/4 and draw multiple strait lines across the paper. You should be able to get between 8-10 strips on each sheet.
  2. Use your scissors to cut the lines that you drew on all the sheets of paper.
  3. Seperate the strips in the pattern order that you are going to use.
  4. Take your first strip and overlap the 2 ends by between 1/2 inch to 1 inch then staple or tape the 2 ends together.
  5. Take your next strip and take one end looping it through the first ring bring the 2 ends together and then secure those ends together.
  6. Keep repeating step 5 till you run out of paper and then your finished.

This is another great tree filler if you dont have many decorations to go across the tree. Have Fun!!
